This form lets you send text messages on many of the major wireless providers. Here’s list of some of the networks that I support:
Alltel
AT&T
Cingular
Nextel
Sprint PCS
SunCom
T-Mobile
US Cellular
Verizon
Virgin Mobile USA
Please contact me, if you have a suggestion for another wireless provider I should support.
Instructions
To use, simply enter your email address and your recipient’s 10 digit wireless number. Then select your recipient’s wireless provider, and enter your message. Once you click send, the form will send your message and provide you with a unique bookmark with your contact’s info.
Bookmarks
If you bookmark the links generated by this form, then the next time you want to text one of your contacts, simply click on your bookmark, and you will return to this page with your contact’s info preloaded. In other words, as you use this form, you will generate bookmarks that you can save for your own contact list.
Usage
Texting from the web can be very handy. For example, sometimes my wife will try to call me while I’m on the phone with one of my clients. When this happens, I use this form to send her a quick text to let her know that I will be with her as soon as I get off.
How do you use this form? If you find this form helpful, or if you have some innovative way that you use it, please leave a comment.

need to send same message to several different people at once without have to re-enter message and a new phone number

@David - I have disabled the portion of the code that clears the message field after sending. However, at this point, I am unwilling to support multiple recipients due to the potential for malicious persons to send unsolicited mass textings.
Perhaps multiple recipients would be a nice feature to add to a premium version of this service? By premium, I mean “registered users only” and possibly a small fee.

I use it to send messages to my husband every time I have a problem with my phone, and I can’t communicate with him. That way he doesn’t get worried about me or our son. I really like it. I know others like it too.

this comment is for Bobby…I text my husband from here and when he replies it goes to my e-mail. So the person you text from here can reply. As far as I know it has never charged extra either.
God Bless,

@brittany - yes, the replies will go to whatever email address you enter in the “Email” field. So, if your mobile is reachable via an email address, you can enter that address and receive replies directly on your mobile.

Could you please add Cellular South to your list of providers? If you can that would be great. Thanks

hey! i tried sending a text to the new Metropcs carrier you added but the user does not receive it.

@tom - Do you have a Metro PCS number? If so, send it to me via email, so that I can try sending a test message to you.

I have been using your site to send texts to Metro PCS users. Do you know if these messages are now going through?
@Nick: I’m not sure. Since I don’t know anyone on Metro PCS, I’m unable to test it. Might you give it a shot, and let me know your results?

I just spilled cola in my cell and it’s dead…my husband is in route via plane and expects me to pick him up upon his call to me…so….thank goodness for this technology!! I just texted hime to let him know……I’ll just have to drive around like in the old days before cell phones (how did we ever manage to get along?)

@gillian: That’s exactly the type of story that I love to hear. I’m so glad that this form is helping you out!

@jajaja: You don’t have to pay to use my form; however, normal texting rates apply on your recipient’s phone.

How long does it take for the texts to get processed?
@Adam: They should be processed in a matter of seconds. What network are you trying to text on?
