Springtime Photo Shoot
This week my new Nikon D90 camera arrived. Having spent the past seven years shooting over 15,000 photos with a simple point-and-shoot camera, it’s great fun having some real photographic horse-power in my hands. During a break in the workday today, I headed out to the mailbox to photograph some flowers Beth planted a couple of years ago. They just bloomed this morning, and it was a beautiful day for getting some fantastic macro shots.

Initial DP2 review with full size shots.. | Carl Rytterfalk Fotografi
I’ve had my eye on the Sigma DP2 for the past couple of months. It has the insides of a DSLR packed into a point-and-shoot package. Although it hasn’t been released yet, Carl Rytterfalk has posted some shots he has taken with a pre-production model.
Noelle’s New Photo Blog
Our friend, Noelle, has started a new photo blog. This week she has been posting some great shots of our mini snowstorm. Let me to encourage you to check things out and encourage her by leaving a comment.

Robert Mitchell Photography
This past weekend, Beth and I attended a wedding of two friends that was photographed by another friend, Robert Mitchell. His photos turned out so nice that I wanted to share them with you here.
As you browse, you’ll note the lush and beautiful backgrounds provided by Rosewood Gardens. The gardens are privately owned English-style gardens located just past Sevierville down 411. Along with the backdrop, Robert’s use of his surroundings and his eye for a great shot results in a collection that has a dreamy, ethereal quality.
