Most of my writing during the past couple of weeks has been about my new WordPress theme, Pictography. Today, I’m taking a turn writing about other things, highlighting some Links of Interest for you to enjoy:

• John Mayer 2011 Clinic – “Manage the Temptation to Publish Yourself” – Berklee Blogs – John Mayer recounts how he nearly ruined his song writing career through his use of social media. Now he’s able to provide some excellent insights on how things like Twitter and Facebook can hinder your creative processes.
• Bacterial Ecosystems Divide People Into 3 Groups, Scientists Say – NY Times In a fashion similar to the discovery of four human blood types, scientists have discovered that there are three different types of bacterial ecosystems inhabiting everyones’ gut. “What’s your enterotype?”
• TaskRabbit – Neighbors Helping Neighbors to get Tasks, Errands and Small Jobs Done – I read about this site in this month’s WIRED magazine. People posts tasks that they’ll pay for other people to complete (e.g. delivering groceries, assembling IKEA furniture, etc). Other persons bid themselves out to complete those jobs. The WIRED article reported that one of the best task runners makes around $5000/month. Currently this service is only available in Boston,San Francisco, LA and Orange County.
• Literature and the Art of the Knuckleball – Tennessee Alumnus Magazine – NY Mets pitcher and former Tennessee Vols, RA Dickey, pens an insightful article comparing pitching with poetry, writing and life.
