I’ve been so busy with work lately that I’ve seriously neglected posting here. So I thought I’d share links to some of the tools that have been helping me get things done.
- Word to HTML Converter – One of my clients provided me with several 3000+ word MS Word docs that they needed posted on the web as HTML. The time involved to convert these by hand simply wasn’t an option. After some searching, I found this no-frills Windows executable. It gets the job done, converting the text into clean XHTML and exporting the images into a separate folder.
- Record your Mac talking like Siri- I needed Apple’s Siri virtual assistant to read some lines which I incorporated into a video project. These two tutorials gave me the info I needed to accomplish my task:
- Quickbooks Payment Gateway for WordPress – This plugin lets your WordPress powered site accept payments over the Quickbooks Merchant Services (QBMS) gateway. I haven’t used this yet; however, I do have a couple of clients for whom this may come in handy.
