Last night, I just finished reading Wired Magazine‘s November issue cover-to-cover. That’s actually the first time I’ve done that with any periodical. I started on page one and read most every snippet, paragraph and article in order until I got to Found: Artifacts from the Future on the last page.
It’s not that I consider this a big accomplishment; however, it was an exercise in concentration because Wired is chock full of all sorts of bite-sized stories, tid-bits of information and factoids. Usually, I’ll start flipping through an issue reading a little here and there along with an article or two, and before I know it I’ll have covered most of the magazine and no longer desire to comb through what I’ve missed.
What’s funny about this is that I think Wired caters to the short attention spans of the modern technophile. Yet, they cater so well that I often miss much of what is there. So, this month rather than giving in to temptation, I discipled myself to stay on task until I had consumed every ounce of this month’s roundup of technology and pop culture from the Wired perspective. Now, as a footnote to this acomplishment, I’m sharing a couple of cool gadgets I spoted while coming to the close of this month’s issue (see what happens when you stick it out for the entire issue
):
The ACM Wallet – The Latest in Wallet Technology
I hate keeping my wallet in my back pocket; however, I also don’t like how it looks like a thigh pad in my front pocket. So, the slim design of the ACM Wallet and its billing as a front pocket wallet have me intrigued. Plus the way it works with cool icons for sliding out all of your cards has me tempted to try one out.
Shoot Vapor Rings with The Zero Blaster
Zero Toys‘ latest offering, The Zero Blaster, looks like it might be a hit “white elephant” gift at the office Christmas party.
Store and Charge all your Gadgets
The Sanctuary from Blue Lounge can charge your phone and your iPod while still having room for your keys and wallet.

I love WIRED! Last year I found a bunch of cool gifts in the back of the book section and will be looking to do the same this year . . .thanks for the reminder.
