The bright lights of the Riviera marquee greeted us as we entered the theater on Friday night. Our crew caught a showing of J.J. Abram’s Cloverfield. I likened it to The Blair Witch project with a 50 to 80 million dollar special effects budget. Once you get past the motion sickness caused by the hand held camera, it is an entertaining flick.

According to this post, Cloverfield was made for a mere $25 million dollars. Therefore, my comment about a $50 to $80 million effects budget was a little off.
