05/15/07 – Please remind me — what is it I do around here? Last night at 11:40pm, Beth and I got home from our twelve day trip to Leipzig, Germany. The trip was the first part of the KLX (Knoxville Leipzig eXchange) project.
During the past week, our six person team worked alongside our Christian partners in Germany to spend fifty-seven hours interviewing thirty-five Germans aged 25 to 35. We did this in an effort to explore the experiences and worldviews of these young adults so that we can understand ways that the church can best minister and serve them.
We learned a lot, and we were stretched in many ways. Our interactions with our German partners drew us together as we related to one another as a Gemeinschaft mit Christus im Zentrum (community with Christ in the center).
Now as it is Tuesday morning and I find myself back in the office, I must try to remember what I do around here. As I get my bearings, I plan to post many pictures from our trip and share updates about our trip.

Hey Michael, Elissa sent me your website. I like it a lot. And it`s the same with me…I found it hard to continue with my “normal” life. But there`s so much happening, we had a great meeting with some of the Lyacs and Mike and Romy even came to our young adults ministry yesterday. There is so much happening and I hope we can manage to find time for prayer and talking about what is going on. We
