The Sewing Machine Project

From my portfolio, The Sewing Machine Project is a non-profit organization that assists victims of natural disasters by donating sewing machines to those in need.

wenderhost.com Redesign

Last week, I went live with a redesign of my wenderhost.com website.

The Findings

We finished our week in Germany with a Sunday evening meeting and party where we reviewed our preliminary findings and we ate dinner.

Coding

Monday through Friday, we spent our mornings coding. This is where we would take our findings from the night before and write them on Post-It notes. Then, Kevin would take them and place them in their proper topic area.

Cafe Till

Here’s a shot of the loft where we conducted our interviews.

Thomaskirche

One afternoon Beth and I toured St. Thomas’ Church in downtown Leipzig. Johann Sebastian Bach served as cantor here from 1723 until his death in 1750.

Happy Birthday Evan!!!

I’m interrupting my review of our Germany trip to give you an update on last night’s Wender Club: We celebrated Evan’s sixth birthday.

Lecker

Suzanna and Mario always made sure that our lunches were lecker (i.e. delicious).

The Stasi Museum

During the middle of our week in Leipzig, our German friends arranged a tour for us in the Stasi Museum. Prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the Stasi were one of the world’s foremost spy agencies.

Processing Our Findings

After we started the research process for the Knoxville-Leipzig eXchange, we spent many of our mornings processing the data we gleaned from the previous evening.
