09/16/06 – Today I am debuting a new feature of Go Web Young Man: Links of Interest (LOI). In LOI, I’ll be directing you to interesting places I’ve visited on the web.
The Pocket Testament League
For Christians interested in sharing their faith, this website provides a great resource: pocket-sized gospel tracts that contain the entire Gospel of John. You can create an account at their website and reorder whenever you run out. The best part is that they offer their resources for free. Plus, it’s easy to make a donation to their ministry during your checkout.
The NeXt Bible
I’m a fan of the New English Translation Bible (NET Bible) offered by the folks at www.bible.org. If you’ve never heard of this translation, I encourage you to visit their site and read up on the principles and values that went into this translation’s development.
Furthermore, once you are aquainted with the NET Bible, I encourage you to check out their new NeXt Bible. It is a stream-lined interface featuring the New English Translation along with the King James and the original Greek-Hebrew versions. Tabs along the top for each translation make it easy to cross reference. Plus, the Greek-Hebrew translation has the Strong’s numbers next to each word. These numbers are linked to the Strong’s entry for easy look-up. In addition, the NeXt Bible features many context sensitive links to commentaries, study notes, and translators notes.
