Build Your Own Blank Bible
I’ve been meaning to post this link for quite some time. For those of you who like to write notes in the margins of your bible, let me suggest that you check out Tony Reinke’s wonderful series of posts detailing how to build your own blank bible:
Writely Online Word Processor
It is quite possible that someday all the software you use on your computer will be running on a web server, and you will use your web browser to access it.
For practical purposes, this would mean that you would no longer be tied to a particular computer when you wanted to work with a document or some other file that you have created. Furthermore, you wouldn’t have to worry about upgrading your software as this would be handled by the software provider. In other words, anytime your software provider upgrades their software, you would benefit without having to do anything.
Such is the case with the relatively new Writely Online Word Processor. Billing itself as The Web Word Processor, Writely allows you to:
With an interface that is very much like a typical word processor, you can upload documents from MS Word, save to your hard drive, publish to the web, or publish to your blog. While Writely may not be as robust as MS Word, its simple interface and portability certainly makes it worth a test drive.

Last night I was at it again trying out my new macademia white chocolate cookie recipe.

The world’s most popular search engine turns eight years old today.

Last evening, I captured this shot of the September sun sinking below the horizon.

As a follow-up to yesterday’s POD, here’s a shot of Beth getting her hair cut on the front porch.
Hell’s Best Kept Secret
In this week’s Links of Interest, let me direct your attention to The Way of the Master website. The Way of the Master ministry exists to help Christians learn to share their faith simply, effectively and biblically.
Furthermore, as an introduction to their ministry, I would like to point you to the sermon Hell’s Best Kept Secret, one of their foundational teachings. To listen to the sermon, click on this link, scroll down the page, and click the listen button next to the first sermon in the list.
In the Hell’s Best Kept Secret, Ray Comfort builds a biblical case for using God’s law in evangelism. If you think sharing the Gospel is only about sharing God’s love, then I challenge you to listen to this sermon, and see if it changes your thinking.

This morning, Beth gave her friend, Amanda, a trim on the front porch.

On Friday evening, the Young Adult Ministry hosted the West Vista kids for a movie night. 1. Ready for the movie. 2. Popping pop corn. 3. On the bus.

Last night I baked up these Super Vanilla Chocolate Chip Cookies, and they were a big hit. The recipe combines the toll house cookie recipe and vanilla instant pudding.
