No this is not a butterfly bush, unless crepe myrtle trees are also known as butterfly bushes. This is the type of tree for which Myrtle Beach got its name. It is one of the longest blooming trees in existence with flowering periods lasting for 60 to 120 days.
That is all I have to say for myself. I walk past dozens of them daily as I go in and out of work. Thank you for the help. I absolutely love these trees. The trunks with their smooth texture and color have always fascinated me.

Is it a butterfly bush?? I see them all over and always wonder what they are. I know my mom has one or two at her house as well.
Has the rain helped to bring back any of your other flowers that were dying??
